One day bricklaying course
This course is designed to teach the basic brick laying techniques required to achieve successful results. After first laying bricks to a line, the art of a successful corner building is practised together with jointing, setting out and various methods of bonding in piers etc.
I have yet to experience a student not able to lay bricks successfully to a line by lunch on day one. The main practice is required later for accurate corner building.
It is hoped our bricklaying courses will be able to resume later in 2011.

Two day bricklaying course
Day one of this course is the same as the one day course. The second day will see you progress onto brick and block cavity wall construction including the correct placing of damp courses, window frames and lintels. This day will give more confidence to tackle a more detailed project. This second day can be adapted to suit your own individual projects. Garden walling and retaining walls in flemish bond are common requests often included. Bring along your ideas.

General
Lunch is included in the course fee together with tea and coffee throughout the day. A telephone and email backup service is also in place for anyone experiencing any difficulty or wanting further advice after their course.
